A wet spring, with about 450 mm of rain between March and June, allowed the vines to develop well and to build up good water reserves.
Flowering, around June 5, took place in good conditions, with generally homogeneous fruit set.
Throughout the season, we adapted the work in the vineyard plot by plot, by limiting depollination and by giving priority to the shade of the clusters.
The summer was then hot and dry, marked by two heatwaves in late July and mid-August, leading to a natural concentration of berries and a drop in yields.
After a short period of concern about rising temperatures and degrees, we chose to trust the rain and, as always, to harvest at phenolic maturity rather than technological maturity.
The harvest began on August 26 for the white wines and ended on September 6 on our new plot located in the north of the appellation.
We then continued with the red ones, to finish with Saint-Joseph and the Hermitage on September 16.
2025 produces concentrated and fruity wines, carried by a great deal of energy.
